William “Smokey” Robinson started his career as the founder and front man of the American rhythm and blues vocal group The Miracles. Early on in his career, he was involved in the conceptualization of Motown Records and eventually became the Vice President of the label. He wrote and produced hits for many Motown legends, while compiling a list of iconic hits himself, including “Shop Around,” “You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me,” “ I Second That Emotion” and the number-one pop hit “The Tears of a Clown.” Robinson has continued to be a pioneer in the industry, receiving a Grammy Award and a National Medal of Arts Award, getting inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and receiving two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Grammy winner Roberto Blades will be performing live on the Sky 7-37 Stage! The younger brother of Rubén Blades, Roberto started his career at the age of 17 touring with the salsa group Inmensidad, leading him to sign with the record label Fania as a singer and songwriter for 10 years. There he made hits such as “Ya No Regreso Contigo” and “Lagrimas.” In 1982, he signed with Emilio Estefan Enterprises and wrote many #1 Latin singles, including Marc Anthony's “Muy Dentro De Mi” and the Grammy-winning “Dimelo.” He also produced Gloria Estefan's Grammy-winning album “Alma Caribeña,” co-writing 7 of the 15 songs on the album. His debut album, Tempestad, was released in 1986, followed by his second production, Viviendo, the next year. His third album, Encore, was released in 2001 winning him a Grammy for Best Salsa Album.
